Dominic Adler Hi Bill. Timberwolf is a bonkers science fantasy... if you like contemporary espionage / military thrillers laced with dark humour you might prefer the Cal Winter series (3 novels).
Dominic Adler "Voila!" said the waiter, placing the pizza in front of me with a flourish. "It has pineapple on it."
Dominic Adler I'm in a history mood - I want to read Anthony Beevor's book on the Ardennes Offensive. I'm also going to finally get around to Glen Cook's 'The Black Company.'

Dominic Adler I could tell you, but I'd have to kill you...
Dominic Adler I'll talk about The Devil's Work - I wanted to write a classic adventure thriller but make it dark and modern. Like 'Where Eagles Dare' but with a sardonic dollop of current affairs. Dominic Adler The TV news. History. People watching. Stuff I do or have done. I'm lucky to know and hang out with some incredible people who've done incredible stuff - they inspire me.

I also deeply care about the genres I write in. That can inspire you, the love and graft others put into what went before.
Dominic Adler The third Cal Winter book, tidying up a post-apocalyptic thriller and sketching out ideas for an espionage novel set in a proto-1930s fantasy setting.
Dominic Adler Don't stop. Read as much as you can. Keep a notebook. Buy a book or two on the craft of writing. Get an accountant.
Dominic Adler Being able to earn money while drinking beer and Cotes du Rhones.
Dominic Adler Beer usually, or Cotes du Rhone.

In all seriousness, I walk the dog and think it through. I can't break block in front of a keyboard unless I'm lucky.
