Dana Wynn Steele Getting information out to readers who perhaps otherwise wouldn't know about it; getting to get on my soapbox and share honestly about the lives of people who matter.
Dana Wynn Steele You hear this ALL THE TIME, but it's true: write what you know. If you're writing historical fiction, write about a period that you enjoy and that you've studied a lot. Write about the emotions of the characters from the standpoint of what you have actually felt. Do your research! Find out how others have felt in similar situations. Research the time period accurately.

Dana Wynn Steele I have two books I'm completing now; one on actual stories of girls who have been trafficked, and one on open adoption. The trafficked girls' stories come from the girls we work with at our restoration home - Homestead Ranch, and you're welcome to donate: www.homesteadranch.org.
