Good question! I run a support group for Indie Authors on Facebook and I am working my way through books written by its members. I've got titles by Lisette Kristensen, K.M. Neuhold, Sylvie Stewart, and Jayda Iris on my list currently.

Keep writing. That sounds obvious but it's absolutely true that you continue to improve. I started writing songs and poems at age 4, wrote novels when I was in elementary and high school, blogged for 8 years, and now since I've been writing full length novels again (since 2012) I have noticed a steady improvement with each work I publish!

By far the best thing is when a reader tells me that I made her think or I made her feel. If I can accomplish both with the same book, then that's the best reward!

I take a break! A long break if needed. I concentrate on everything but writing and eventually the block will pass.

My best friend from elementary school had a daughter with Mitochondrial disorder. When she passed in 2011, I was reunited with my other best friend from high school at the funeral. We'd had a falling out after college and not spoken in almost twenty years.That spawned the idea for Green Castles.
