Karen Heuler Everyone writes at his or her own pace. Don't be thrown by what other people do or say they do. People who crow about writing 3000 words a day don't really follow up with whether those 3000 made it into the final project or not. Amassing a word count is not the same as writing well. Write the words that matter.
Karen Heuler I've always loved Lord Peter Wimsey and Harriet Vane in Dorothy L. Sayer's detective novels. This is very much reliant on they way they spoke to each other and the various literary quotes (if I recall correctly) they offer each other. They were intellectually passionate while going about being charged with murder and being cleared of murder and solving murders.
