Chris Philbrook writing book 4 right now, hoping to get it wrapped in the next week or two.

Releasing in 6-9 weeks after that, so... August? September?
Chris Philbrook The Oasis in Ready Player One. That's a copout answer though, because the Oasis has hundreds of worlds in every flavor, but that's its allure to me.
Chris Philbrook Some gaming books, They Fought For Each Other, The Fireman, and a few others I can't recall right now.
Chris Philbrook Why thanks for asking, Goodreads.

The best mystery in my life probably belongs to my wife and her side of the family, but I'll leave that one for her to tell.

As far as my best mystery is concerned... I would say my life has sadly been absent of true mysteries. I've been blessed with a lot of closure on events I've lived through, so I'm just a boring guy in that regard.

Chris Philbrook It's a close race between three couples, and I waver.

I loved the relationship between Iggy and Merrin in Joe Hill's book Horns. Despite her being dead the whole book, the flashbacks and their sweet, flawed love resounds with me.

I also love Fran and Stu from The Stand. They were one of the first relationships I was mature enough to understand when I was a young reader, so there's nostalgia there. Plus... I just like the two characters independently, and they feel like they belong together.

Thirdly, I really enjoy the relationship in the Saga comic book between Alana and Marko. They are so messed up, and so in love, and I can't help but get swept up into their storm.

Love all three, and depending on what I'm doing at the time... I'll pick a different favorite.

Chris Philbrook Thanks Rachel! I think Mike and Adrian would get along quite well. They share a lot of common background, and when things get dangerous, people like that tend to make sure that business comes first.

I think they'd be great friends! Thanks for reaching out, and stay in touch!
Chris Philbrook I'm feeling great. I've got a baby on the way in April, we're trying to close on a house soon, I'm writing and feeling good about what I'm writing, and people like yourself keep reminding me that I enjoy what I do.

It's a lot of work, but it's good work.

Thanks Frank. Don't be a stranger.
Chris Philbrook Aleisha! James Foster is currently working on book seven but he had some health delays. I'm hoping he's well, and can get back to recording for a rough end of May release on book 7.

Beyond that, it take him typically about 8 weeks to do an AUD title, which puts book 8 somewhere around end of July.

Hope that helps!
Chris Philbrook That's a tough question Mike. In horror, I'd like to work with Joe Hill. In fantasy I think working with RA Salvatore would be super fun.

I'm fans of both, and weirdly enough, they both live within driving distance of me, so that'd make it slightly more possible...
Chris Philbrook I've read a few, but the only one that really affected me was On Writing by Stephen King. Lots of just, really good advice about writing, and how much work it is, and how dedicated you need to be. It's also a good 'life advice' book, and I recommend it to folks who simply want a good read.
Chris Philbrook Playing a role playing game with my friend Alan MacRaffen about twenty years ago.
Chris Philbrook Talking with friends. Reading other books. Watching movies. Dreaming.
Chris Philbrook Writing. I know I won't update this in six months, so I'm just going to leave that smartassed answer.
Chris Philbrook Focus on characters. People will only love your books if the people are living and breathing inside them. Settings and story are secondary in every way to the characters.
Chris Philbrook I make stuff up for a living.
