I’m excited to say I’m working on the final installment of the Elements of Ink series. I can’t believe I started this journey nearly five years ago. It’s both thrilling and heart wrenching to know the series is coming to an end. As I have written Onyx, Talos, and all their friends, I’ve really come to know them. It’ll be sad to one day leave them behind. With that said, the epic-ness of the finale will completely make up for it. I’m planning a big farewell so to speak for my Order friends. I can’t wait to share it with everyone!

I think every writer has had writer’s block. It comes with the territory. For me, I approach it one of two ways: either I start from the beginning and reread what I’ve done over and over again until something comes to me; or I put it down and start working on something else. Usually the latter works better. It keeps me in the writing zone without having to actually think about the problem.

Boy, I wish I knew. It sounds cheesy, but I don’t know where most of my ideas come from. I often find myself cooking when a random train of thought comes rolling through my brain and I go “huh, that’s an interesting concept.” From there I usually obsess about it until I can flush it out as a viable idea, or dismiss it completely.
