Can you give me details of the book of your friend? What genre is it? I would be happy to review it :) (but if it is eBook I need quite some time because I don't have an eBook reader and have to read on my computer where it is kinda uncomfortable ...)
We authors need to support each other. Yes, bad reviews suck, but it is as bad as not getting any at all ;)
