Lisa Forest The best thing about writing for me? That's easy. It's very therapeutic. I also love watching characters and the plot developing! Adding some unexpected twists is just icing on the cake. At the end of the day, YOU have to be happy with what you wrote.
Lisa Forest Just write. Never skimp on a good editor. Make sure you pay attention to all the little details. I have made a few mistakes by rushing things along. Most books aren't perfect. However, keeping those errors to a minimum is key. Readers can get turned off immediately if there are several errors with grammar, spelling or even spacing in the first few chapters. Be true to yourself.
Lisa Forest This series was inspired by a twitter friend. He discussed cuckolding. I had never heard of it and it piqued my interest. After reading his blog entries, I came up with the idea for my series. So my erotica series, is primarily based around cuckolding and are graphic with a sneaky twist that's very unexpected ;-)
Lisa Forest I used to have a blog that discussed life in general with a huge topic being decorating. My followers were constantly urging me to write. So I started a blog solely to write a story for them. I did weekly installments. The story was wonderful, however looking back I cringe at all the grammatical and spacing errors. I am still learning every day. I know I have a tendency to have long run-on sentences, and at times become repetitive. Luckily, I am not afraid to learn!
Lisa Forest I am currently nearing the end of the second of my erotica series titled: Country Club Secrets II "Desperately His". The first (Country Club Secrets) was a short novelette to test the waters in erotica writing, so to speak. The second mentioned here will be a novella. The third I expect to be a novella as well. Not necessarily the right way to do things. But, I am a new author and testing the waters and learning as I go along.
Lisa Forest Watch Netflix, and listen... listening is a key factor for me to get back on track. Simple sentences can spark ideas for me. I have a notebook where I randomly write things and/or words I hear that intrigue me, from songs, movies, reading, TV etc... When I get stuck, or get writer's block, I flip through all my notes. Something usually ignites a thought and I go from there.
