Nicole R. Pramik Right now, I'm in the developmental editing stage for a revised urban fantasy romance novel I've been working on since late July 2024. I'm happy with where the story is at and I love my characters, but it still needs fine tuning. I've sat it aside for a little bit to take a good break, but I plan to return to it and dive into making edits soon. I'm so proud of this book because this is the first one I feel ready to try to shop around to publishers or agents. Wish me luck!
Nicole R. Pramik I read this piece of advice years ago (and forgive me for forgetting the source): always juggle multiple ideas and/or projects. That way, if I'm writing a first draft of one story and feel creatively stuck, I'll switch to outlining or drafting a different story. It helps break my concentration on the first story for a bit until I feel ready to return to it. The same goes for taking long breaks after intensive writing sessions. There is something to be said for sitting a project aside for a while, refusing to think about it, and going back to it later when my mind is refreshed. Every writer has his or her own strategies, but those are a few that work for me. I hope this helps!
Nicole R. Pramik The Wizarding World from "Harry Potter" of course! I'd love to see all the sights, from Honeydukes to the Ministry of Magic. But Hogwarts would definitely be first on the list, especially the library.
