I would travel to Middle Earth and get to know Tolkien's characters, and I would fight alongside them.

Sometimes I can't remember whether something happened in a dream or in reality. So, I think a good plot would be one in which the heroine encounters problems in real life but find solutions in her dreams. Then she starts to implement the solution only to find that her love interest has already done some of what she dreamed about. Then to find the final answer, they both have to dream. I guess that's too much like Inception, isn't it?

I'm sorry I just saw this! I have just published my second Bible study called Faith, Courage, and Victory. It's about 24 people in the Bible and their struggles and triumphs. I will start working on a third book this June (2015), and it will be a study on the book of Nehemiah. Nehemiah is one of my all-time favorite Bible characters.

You have the chance to touch people's hearts and minds. You can inspire, encourage, warn, and point people to God. You're an artist. The screen or paper is your canvas, and the words and emotions that follow them are your paint. Paint well!

Pray! I turn on instrumental music which has no words to distract my mind, and the calming music gets the juices flowing. I like to take a walk outside if my brain is numb. Or get on Pinterest, and I'll hopefully be able to get off in less than a half hour!

Attend a writers conference! You get valuable information and resources on how to write and what the publishing world is like. You come away inspired to write and to keep writing when it gets tough. And one of the best things is that you meet other writers that you can share the writing journey with. If you're an aspiring Christian writer, I highly recommend the Blue Ridge Mountain Christian Writers Conference. That's where I learned about writing and publishing and loved it!

I wanted to teach the Bible since I was a pre-teen, and I always liked writing stories. It wasn't until 2008 that I started writing devotions. Then in 2010, God led me to start working on my first book. I realized you can reach more people with the written word. So I get the best of both worlds - teaching and writing!
