Jennifer M. Zeiger Hello More Than Enough!

Thank you for reaching out to me. Your enthusiasm for Quaking Soul makes my day! To answer your question, yes, I'm working on a sequel at the moment. I don't have a set date for when it'll be available yet, but if you're looking for regular updates, hop by my website from time to time. (jenniferzeiger.com) At the moment there's a progress bar as I work on the rough draft.

Blessings,

Jennifer

Update: The sequel to Quaking Soul, Theos Rising, is now out! I'm sorry I didn't update you sooner. At the moment it's available in hardcover but paperback and ebook should be available before the end of the year. Blessings!
Jennifer M. Zeiger Saying Middle Earth would be too easy right?

Ugh, this is a hard question! Dozens of options go through my head.

Let's pick the Wax and Wane world from Brandon Sanderson. I love his magic system and the world in this part of the series is a fun mix between western, steampunk, and fantasy old world. What would I be? Some sort of Twinborn, which means I'd have some sort of Allomantic and Feruchemical ability. (If you're unfamiliar with this series, go read it!)
Jennifer M. Zeiger I don't tend to keep reading lists. I'm terrible about referencing them when I want something to read. There are authors - Brent Weeks, Brandon Sanderson, Jim Butcher etc. - who I check every once in a while to see if something new is out, but otherwise, I don't have a reading list. I find something that sparks my interest and read it. In other words, if you have a recommendation, I'll take it, because I'm always looking for another good book to read.
Jennifer M. Zeiger I write. This sounds counter intuitive but putting pen to paper and writing anything tends to break through the blank space in my brain. It doesn't matter if it's only a stream-of-thought about my day, the writing itself is what helps.
Jennifer M. Zeiger I love how stories can pull you in and make you feel like you're a part of a totally different world. It's magic to me and I love being a part of that magic.
Jennifer M. Zeiger Write. This sounds obvious, but there's no substitute for the practice. Schedule it, stick to it, make it your habit. Just like practicing the piano, there's never a point where you can't get better at it.

And try new things. Writers tend to be introverted people, but if you want your writing to be published and read by others, you have to interact with people on some level, whether that's submitting a story, doing a book signing, or answering questions on Goodreads as an author =)
Jennifer M. Zeiger I'm working on two things at the moment. One is a new Choose Your Own Adventure-Style book about steampunk dragons titled Discarded Dragons. It's scheduled to publish this fall. The other is the outline for the next Hidden Mythics book. Although Quaking Soul can stand on its own, there's a lot to the world and I'm not done exploring it.
Jennifer M. Zeiger Usually something- an image, smell, sounds, anything - will stick in my mind and a story will grow from it. This is why travel or getting out of the house to see new things is great for me, but it doesn't have to be something out of the ordinary. A foggy mountain morning, a weirdly designed park, the smell of a bakery. Just something that stands out on a particular day.
Jennifer M. Zeiger It all started when I visited a park in Tennessee. It looked like an earthquake has torn the sidewalks apart but it'd been designed that way and water ran through the rents for children to play in. I got this idea to explore how a dryad would view such a strange park when there were so few trees or plants.
