Calvin Mofield I like to outline before writing and that helps quite a bit. Even if I'm stuck I will continue writing. Most of the time when I look back at it the writing really isn't that bad. Even if I do decide to cut what I wrote, I might have hit on an idea that I can use in the story. It's important to keep getting your word count.
Calvin Mofield Getting the voices to stop talking because they're on the page.
Calvin Mofield I think it's important to outline your story. That way you get an idea of what is going on and where the story is headed. I think some writers get stuck because they're not sure where their story is going. If you outline things it makes the actual writing of the story much easier.
Calvin Mofield I am currently working on the Broken Realms a post-apocalyptic, modern-day, fantasy fiction that follows a couple as they try to make their way through a broken world that is now filled with fantasy creatures and people.

I'm also working on Sagebrush which is about hidden wild west town filled with mythical and magical creatures that is accidentally found by a normal family around the same time as citizens are starting to be murdered.
Calvin Mofield Caffeine. Lot's of caffeine and an intense desire to tell people stories.
Calvin Mofield I got the idea for my most recent book from a western. I don't read a lot of westerns, ok maybe I have never read a western but I wanted to see if I could come up with an idea for a western I would read. That's how I came up with Sagebrush. You can listen to how the story play out on my podcast Self Published Audiocast.
