Jim J.J. Anthony I asked and yes, I do give away review copies to my friends and followers. Jim J.J. Anthony Thanks for asking Kelly,

Today is Sunday and I just got done packaging ten novels to the winners of the " Tempting Fate: Temptations" novel. Tomorrow is Monday and I'm heading to the library to check out a few books on building a Facebook page. I have a practice page and screwed that one up, so I'll delete it and build a new one. I'll try to name it, Jim jj Anthony Erotic Author, or something similar.

BTW/ Our girl Julie Alvarez won a copy of the "Tempting Fate" novel. Chalk one up for the James Gang.

So to answer your question, I hope to have a Facebook page in a few weeks if not sooner. I'm gifting copies of "Tempting Fate: Temptations," to my followers by having them email me at Free.jjvjj.novels@gmail.com

I'll gift them through Amazon and I'll you need is a free Kindle app on any device. Leave your name in the email and I'll send it soon for your review. Thanks Jim jj Anthony
Jim J.J. Anthony Dear Julie,

I'm so clueless about facebook, and have no idea on how to build a page there. It took me a long time just to figure out, Goodreads. Is there any books out that teaches how to build a facebook page? I spent my whole life playing guitar and singing in a rock band, that I've never spent time on the Internet.

I got so stressed out just working with Create Space to get my books into paperbacks that my back and shoulders get tight and painful.

I will take your advice and try to put a Jim jj Anthony page together.

If you google my name, Jim jj Anthony or my pen moniker, jjvjj, google will take you to my Kindle pages and you can see all on my books there. It may be easier to go to Kindle and search jjvjj and 18 to 20 of my books pop up. I use the jjvjj moniker as second author on all my books, and it seems to cut through to all my novels and Kindle downloads. The Kindle downloads are so much cheaper than the books. Create Space makes me price the paperbacks extremely high, so they can get a good cut of the money. I feel so guilty to price a paperback at $19.99 when a Kindle download is only $3.99.

Thanks Julie, you are the best. You can email me at jimjjanthony@gmail.com if you know of any books to help me with Facebook.

My best to you, Jim jj Anthony
Jim J.J. Anthony Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

My most recent book is called, Tempting Fate: Temptations, and this is the only book that wrote itself.

Let me start from the beginning. I just finished a novel called, My Love: The Perfect Catch, and I didn’t want to start the sequel until it marinated in my brain for a few months.

I was flipping channels when I came across this documentary on the running of the bulls. I watched transfixed and wondered what would drive a human to run a yard in front of a bull and look back to touch it on its head. I had to find out, so I studied everything I could on these brave and stupid souls.

I learned that there was a group of elite runners that make this activity their entire life. They train all year for the seven days of the near death experience. I wanted to get inside their heads and I did.

I thought it would make a good story if an American firefighter were a part of these elite runners. I knew it had to have a love story element, so I wrote an outline where our hero runs and has a close call where he has to climb the barrier to escape the horns of death. He jumps on the fence that separates the crowds that watch the action, and in doing so, he sees the woman of his dreams on the other side.

His running partner grabs his hand and gets him running again before he gets a chance to say a word to the gorgeous woman. He spends his days and nights looking for her and dreaming about her. Later that day, he becomes a hero by saving a baker from a kitchen fire and becomes the "Gringo Hero" of Pamplona. Our girl sees his photos in the newspaper and goes out to find him.

This was my outline and I started to write the story when at 20,000 words a new character jumped on the page and surprised me. I had no idea who this was and she sure wasn’t in the outline. I decided to go with the flow and soon my outline was tossed out and I was writing from the seat of my pants. More characters came into play and every morning I was excited to start writing.

I let the book, write itself and I never had so much fun writing a novel. There were so many twists and turns that it kept wondering what would happen next. I kept writing, and the novel kept surprising me. I spent six months writing it and it turned out to be my favorite novel to date.

Everything about the novel was cutting edge and I can't be prouder of it. This happened only once and the novel I'm writing now is back to an outline and by the numbers. They say that lightening strikes in a bottle only once. That might be true, and I'm glad I got to experience it this one time.

I love this novel, Tempting Fate: Temptations, and I hope it stands the test of time even when I'm gone.

Jim J.J. Anthony How do you get inspired to write?

I wake up everyday and realize that my time on this Earth might be short. My books raise money that I give away to help those less fortunate. I give to animal shelters, battered women's shelters, children's hospitals, wounded warriors and veterans programs, and the man or woman on the street needing a handout to get them through the day.

I've been blessed my whole life and never worked hard as most people do. I never took this for granted and know that I've been put here to help those in need. My house is a modest suburban home that is paid for and I live off the money from music and inheritance.

The man upstairs gave me a talent and I know what is needed to raise the funds to help others. Writing erotic novels may not be the first choice anyone would think of as a noble profession, but I know it's the fastest way to raise a lot of money. Writing about sex is not evil or against my beliefs, because I believe sex is good as long as it is not against ones will.

The sex I write about is to give a satisfied and warm feeling deep down inside you. I believe we should masturbate instead of meeting strangers that can leave you empty. You may say that is hypocritical because I was a Rockstar and slept with more women than I will ever know. That was then and this is now, and the now is more dangerous with consequences that can leave you sick and or dying.

I've believed I've been put on this Earth at this time to teach:
Compassion
Humility
Gratitude

If you live your life with just these three things in mind, you will find happiness. It doesn’t matter if you believe in a Higher Deity or just nothing. We all need compassion and gratitude, and humility is just good behavior of our fellow humans and animals.

I do mean to preach and I probably will in the future. That is why I use the dog as my image. I need to use my real face in the future and only you will know.

Jim J.J. Anthony What are you currently working on?

Right this moment, 10/15/15, I'm editing a book of short stories called, Panty Soup. I'm taking a break from finishing my novel, Who's That Girl: My Love Too. That novel is the sequel to My Love: The Prefect Catch.

The funny thing about, Panty Soup is that I forgot about the fifteen short stories that I wrote ten years ago. I was looking through one of my old tower computers for some guitar lessons I wrote, and I found all these short stories that I wrote one summer. I remember blazing through all theses great ideas that I frantically wanted to get on a page. I would wake up at four in the morning and smoke a joint and get to work. I remember that I had a pulled hamstring at that time, and I had to write standing up.

I forgot about them as I started to write a full-length novel that took over a year. I wrote on a new laptop and never went back to my older computers. I had so many ideas back then, that I wrote and wrote and never looked back.

I reread the stories and realized that they were really good and really sexy. I didn’t worry about what people might think, and I didn’t worry that they were too sexy for the time. I forged ahead and figured that I was creating a new version of erotica. These stories needed editing and at times rewriting, so that's what I'm doing right now.

I love telling stories of boy meets girl, they flirt, and then they have unbelievably hot sex. Of course, this isn’t the real world and no one should live this recklessly. It's fiction and everything works out in the end. Fiction is fantasy and we should keep it that way.
Jim J.J. Anthony What advice do you have for inspiring writers?

My advice is to never stop writing. Write a story as if you are writing a letter to a friend. Don’t worry about what other people may think of your English skills or your ideas. Don’t think about making money or being famous. Write as if no one will ever see it.

I wrote my first novel over ten years ago and it took a year to write. It has yet to see the light of day, and it was twenty novels ago.

Don’t reread what you wrote yesterday, and just forge ahead with a creative spirit. Your first novel or short story should just be fun. Having a character come alive on a page is a joyful and exciting feeling. Enjoy the process and don’t worry about rewriting or editing. That becomes the work you need to do after you finish writing your story.

Enjoy the fun of the first steps, because the last steps are the actual work.

Keep writing and don’t show anybody your work until your third story. Most your friends won't know how to give you creative criticism, and this also goes for beginner's writing classes. Trust yourself and keep writing even if for a half hour a day.

Jim J.J. Anthony What's the best thing about being a writer?

Well, besides being able to sleep as late as I want, I love the ability to create. I started out writing songs and telling a story in four minutes. I always liked telling a story, even when I was a young kid. I won a contest in third grade writing, The Never Ending Cheerios Box. When I got my first real guitar, I learned how to play it in a few weeks. I started writing songs and playing for groups of girls in the park.

I took my story telling from writing four-minute songs to writing short stories. Now I write full-length novels, and I love the everyday activity of sitting down and creating a vision in words.
Jim J.J. Anthony How do you deal with writer's block?

Today, 10/15/15, I'm going through a bout of writer's block. I've been going through it for the past 6 weeks. I need to write the climactic last scene in my new book, Who's That Girl: My Love Too. I know what I need, but I want more excitement.

Here's what I do. I quit smoking weed (this is Colorado) for a few weeks or a few months. I do other work such as editing which I need a straight head for typo and rewriting. When I feel it's time to get back to writing, I study the notes I have on the scene, and then go outside in my backyard with a joint.

I take a puff and start writing an outline no matter if I think it's good, or will end up using it. I take a few more hits and keep writing. It always seems to work for me as long as I've kept a straight head for a few weeks or months. I have to watch out while smoking the Colorado one hit weed, because it can throw you for a loop. (I still don’t know how tourists don’t freak out more.)

My plan for this bout of writer's block is to finish editing my book called, Panty Soup and then reading my notes on Who's That Girl: My Love Too. Hopefully, I can get to the last scene by the first of the year.

This always works for me.
