What are you currently working on?
Laurie Ann Butcher I am presently working on the sequel to ‘Darkness’ which is titled ‘The Lingering Shadows’. The sequel is focused on Sef, the son of the main characters in ‘Darkness’, and Divona, a Tuatha De Danann goddess.

Laurie Ann Butcher Sounds ridiculous, but inspiration comes to me in dreams.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Laurie Ann Butcher I have just published a book of memoirs. Coming from a dysfunctional family, and having suffered from abuse, including child grooming, I realised last year that the world hadn’t changed as much as I thought it had (for women), and decided that things had to change. I wrote ‘Learning to be Human’ in an attempt to help young women understand toxic relationships.
