Kim Smith I visited a place some years back and it is imprinted on my mind. I had to write about it.

How do you get inspired to write?
Kim Smith Usually it is something I see or hear. I can find a story in pretty weird situations.

Kim Smith A contemporary romance/women's fiction. Excited fists!

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Kim Smith The best advice I can give is to never quit. You can never reach the gold by only scooping dirt off the surface of the land. You have to dig. It's hard, sweaty work, but totally worth it.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Kim Smith Discovery. I get to discover new worlds, new people, new experiences.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Kim Smith I tell myself I only have to write one page. If I do one page, then I can close the laptop and go do something else. Generally, I don't write just one page. Once I get started, the block is gone.
