Music inspires me so often. Callie's background in Wayward Son was inspired by Miranda Lambert's "Gunpowder and Lead" hit. There are stories tucked in virtually every song just waiting to be discovered.

Thinking you can make things go the way you want them to...all the time. We simply can't make that happen in real life, and truthfully, I can't seem to manage it in writing either. My characters are a sometimes willful bunch and have fully capable minds of their own. So often, they surprise me with their stubborn decisions to act differently than I had planned. But I always start out believing I'm fully in control.

I write! Type and type and type. There's no help for it otherwise. Though, I really should admit that my problem is not writer's block nearly so much as it is writing too many words! (Anyone who knows me personally will find that hardly surprising)
