I am writing a series called Defenders, the first book of which is Refuge, and almost complete!! And I am Dying to get it out there!! It is so fun! A strong female heroine, a captivating love interest, action and fighting, vulnerability, real-to-life characters - all the good stuff! And I hope to soon be able to start on the sequel because I have it completely written out in my mind and am so excited to get it down on the page because it's gonna be even better than the first! So intense! Ack!!

Creating! Falling in love with the characters and then getting to Share them with others who fall in love with them too! I'm a little odd in that I don't get offended if people don't like my books! There are a million books out there, and what one person loves, another will hate, and vice versa. So, it doesn't hurt my feelings one iota if people don't like my books. BUT, I do want them to be read! I want people to read them and share them with me, even if they don't like them. That's what I love the most - hearing peoples' reactions to my books. That's the best!

Step away for a while. That's sometimes hard to do, though. So, I either step away from the story completely, even go ahead and read something entirely different, OR I go back to the beginning and re-read from the start to get a feel for how the story is flowing, and oftentimes that will unleash a thought. I also like bouncing ideas off people. Sometimes a sister or a friend will throw out a thought that I know I can work with and build off of. (I have one sister in particular who's really good at that! She's my go-to!) :)
