Great news, Christa. I'm just in the final stages of putting Book 3: Wolf's Choice together. It will be released by the end of the week.

Very often, I get my inspiration from music. A particular scene, or even a whole chunk of a novel can be inspired by a song that just encapsulates the emotions of a character.

Right now (December 2015) I'm doing some of the final revisions for my second novel, Wolf's Cage, and also writing the first draft of book 3 in the series, Wolf's Choice.

1. Keep writing. I once heard that the only reason you should try to become a writer is because you would keep writing for the rest of your life even if no one ever paid you a single cent for it.
2. Learn to accept feedback humbly. Hearing that there's something wrong with one of your stories is always a painful experience, but if no one tells you what's wrong, it's hard to improve it.
3. Learn to write in different styles. I once spent a year learning to write screenplays. It's a completely different ball game from writing novels, with massively different techniques, but what I learned in the process has made huge improvements to my novel-writing style.

Thankfully, I don't suffer from writer's block too often. I've learned to plan out my novels right at the start, with all the major events and emotional turning points, so knowing where I'm headed keeps me motivated. But on the odd occasions where writer's block does hit, I find a song that fits the mood of the scene I'm trying to write and listen to it over and over again until I find the inspiration I need.
