Sharon S. Darrow I'd wake up and discover that all the people in my country had been segregated by race and religion into distinct and separate areas. Then I'd realize I'd done nothing to stop it from happening.
Sharon S. Darrow I'd spend time flying an open cockpit plane with Richard Bach in Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah. I'd be able to fly, swim in earth, vaporize clouds, and understand that we all create our own reality. Oh wait, if I truly understood that, I'd be doing everything now!
Sharon S. Darrow I don't have a summer reading list, but I do have over a hundred books in my kindle that I've downloaded and not read yet. I'll keep you updated as I finish them.
Sharon S. Darrow "Faces of Rescue; Cats, Kittens and Great Danes" is my most recent title. Animal rescue has been a part of my life since 1988, and our family has been blessed by sharing our home with many very special animal souls. It was simply time to share many of their stories, together with dozens of full-color pictures. My hope was that people would be touched by what animal rescue can mean, and carry that forward by supporting rescue in their own personal ways.
Sharon S. Darrow My first book, "Bottlekatz, A Complete Care Guide for Orphan Kittens" was written to fill a specific need. The next two were written in response to a powerful inner compulsion that I couldn't resist.
Sharon S. Darrow I'm writing a fictionalized biography of my maternal grandmother. Laura lived from 1903 to 1966, years of enormous change in the world. She faced choices, challenges and emotional difficulties that seem impossible to endure and overcome. I think her story will resonate with readers today, and help us reflect on the difficulties and triumphs in our own lives. I hope to have the book completed and published in 2015.
Sharon S. Darrow Just write! And remember the old advise to write what you know. That way your words will ring true, and your knowledge and passion will ignite the reader's interest in return.
Sharon S. Darrow The feeling that my words can be enjoyed by a reader. I love sharing something I care about, and the feeling that I can make a difference to someone.
Sharon S. Darrow My writing takes place in my mind first. Then, when I sit down at the computer, the words simply come. This method prevents writer's block, but can mean days without writing while the mental process is working first.
