I'm hoping to have Kiss of Life out in late September/early October. Toni and her fireman will be in the story, as well as Christophe and Annata. My newest book is Flower in the Desert, about a search and rescue. I was watching a reality show about people who survive deadly situations and there was an episode about a family that was lost in the desert, so the seed was planted. Then my sister helped me brainstorm and eventually we came up with the story of a woman lost in the Grand Canyon. I wanted to do a 'survivor' type story, so I did some research and started writing. When I realized the heroine Ruby had to be a mother, the story all clicked into place. It gave the story more urgency and emotional punch (I hope!)

When I have writer's block, I usually walk the dog or do some exercise to free my brain up. If that doesn't work, sometimes I'll move on to another book or story... which is how I miss deadlines, because I get distracted with the other story!
