I get to do what I love to do. I never had a career choice, never thought I'd be an author, but couldn't see myself doing anything in particular. Once I wrote my book I believed I found my calling.

Never give up or get frustrated from critiques. If you have an agent or editor critiquing your work, they believe in you and are giving you tools on how to make it better. I almost gave up a few times but realized that my agent could have just moved on from me, but she took the time to tell me all the things I could do to make it publish-worthy.

The idea developed with the end of the first one. I knew I wanted to take my characters further and I also wanted to introduce new magical characters and so the second one was born which leads to the third, and fourth, and fifth.
