I'm so sorry that I'm only seeing this now!!
The good news is that there will probably be 2 more books in the series. The bad news is that I'm currently working on the next book in my GEG series. I'm hoping to bounce back to this one and have part 2 out by the end of this year.
I'm so glad that you love the series. These characters stay with me everyday; I can't say that about my other books. I love my other characters too but Becca, Grayson, and Ray are ALWAYS on my mind. :)

I am hoping by the end of summer. I am currently working on it (It will be Maddie's story). However, I am also working on the prequel to my first series and they have been the loudest. My ultimate goal is to not release either without having the other follow closely as I have readers patiently waiting for books from both series. For any current upcoming news on either series, head over to www.AuthorJacquelynAyres.com. That will be the best place to hear the latest!
Thanks, Bridget! :)

Will do! I'm second guessing myself right now, but did I tell I was an architect?! If I did, awesome! If not, the world may be crumbling down around m

I was on a road trip with my aunt almost 2 years ago and somehow we got on the topic of a bus trip she and her girlfriends took. For some reason, they got on the subject of the difference between a prostitute and a Call girl. There was another woman traveling on the bus who overheard them. Apparently, she had heard enough of what they thought the difference was and sat closer to them to give them the real deal. She was a single mom (this was in the late 70's -early 80s) of four. Her husband left her with nothing and she had no skills. She became a call girl and earned enough to get out of her jam and save for the kids' college.
I thought this was terribly brave. What an amazing story! You never hear stories like this. It's always because of a history of abuse or need for drugs. And so Charlotte's story was inspired by this woman's as far as career choice. ;)
The other element of the book as well as the whole series was inspired by my own circle of friends that I've had since I was a little girl. Nothing's better than having a group of friends you can be perpetually twelve around!

Read. Other than that, the support of my fans (I still feel funny saying that. lol) is what really pushes me to keep going. Also, these characters in my head never shut up! lol

I am working on "In The Mix" which is the 2nd book in the GEG series. It's based around CiCi O'Brien but the whole cast is back to make you laugh and warm your heart. :)

Never give up! Always believe in yourself. Don't rush it and don't take the negativity to heart. Everything is subjective. People have their opinions and as much as they can hurt you, they can also help you. Stay humble.

Getting feedback from people who've read it and have fallen in love with your characters as much as you have. I don't just mean on reviews. I've connected with a lot of my readers via social media. I love having in depth conversations about my books or any books for that matter. So I guess the real answer is the connection with my readers.

I haven't had a "block" yet, really. What I have had is uncertainty as to how I was going to get from point A to point C. Sometimes it's just a massive gray area and instead of rushing through it, I simply stop. I read. I edit. Then I go back and that little "break" usually helps me clear my head enough to navigate through point B. :)
