Oh my. This question is so tough.
When I was a kid, I would have said I wanted to go to the worlds of Little Women or Little House on the Prairie. But I like my modern conveniences too much now to want to live where there are no microwaves or wi-fi connections so I can chat with family and friends who are far away.
But there are so many contemporary and even paranormal story settings to choose from! I would probably want to stop in too many to list. One that would be near the top of my list, though, is the series by Ann Cleeves set in Shetland, Scotland. Not necessarily because I want to solve crimes with Jimmy Perez, but because I really want to go back to Scotland!

She clutched at her hair and felt the thick locks wriggle between her fingers, as if they were alive. The curse had taken her.

I'm waiting impatiently for Nora Roberts's latest, Come Sundown.

Oh, what a fun question! I can think of a couple of things, but I know that I have some family members who have tried to work out family histories, but with old records destroyed, there are questions about exactly where in the world some ancestors came from. I can imagine a character on the hunt for an answer to that mystery. But why? Oh, so many possibilities!

If we're talking just general fictional couple, I have to say Buttercup and Wesley. After all, who doesn't love The Princess Bride?
But if we're talking about romance novel couples, well, that is harder to answer. I think it might be Wolf and Mary Mackenzie, from Linda Howard's Mackenzie's Mountain. Wolf has stuck in my top 5 favorite romance novel heroes ever since I first read this book. Yummy!

I'm not sure I can say what 'the' best thing is. It depends on the day, really. One day it might be a nice, shiny new reader review, another day it might be finally figuring out why character X is the way they are and how to actually put that information to good use in the story.

Hopefully the story idea is inspiring me to write, but sometimes the 'inspiration' needs a boost, like a story soundtrack--so when I sit down and start the music playing, my brain knows it's time to work on that story.
But if I waited for inspiration all the time, I might not get much writing done--there are always things to do, whether it's household chores or reading, or just vegetating after a long day at work. Goal-setting is a good way for me to try to stay on track, whether I'm inspired or not, though even that isn't foolproof.

Keep writing. Even if it's just for you, keep writing. I've been writing almost forever, and sometimes it takes longer to get the right story in front of the right person at exactly the right time. I speak from experience full of "almosts".

I'm a huge mythology geek, always have been, and I love an underdog or a villain who might not actually be bad. Poor Medusa in the myths...depending on which version you read, she was a braggart, or she was raped by Poseidon. Either way, being turned into such a monster is a pretty harsh punishment (though kind of the standard in some of the myths). If anyone deserved a do-over, I think it was her.

A shapeshifter story. Tiger hero. He's delicious. :-)

If I'm feeling really uninspired or like I just can't possibly write, reading is a good alternative. It isn't the same thing as putting words on the page, but if I'm reading a good book (bonus if it's a favorite author!), then I start feeling inspired again.
I've also found that rereading something I've written, even if it's old and really awful, kicks my brain into 'writing mode'. Even if it's something I've written than I like, I almost always find something to tweak, and then my brain gets even further into 'writing mode'.
