I get inspired to write by reading, dreaming or thinking. I get stories from dreams or stories from friend's lives that spark something interesting I'd like to explore more. I also get ideas from reading other peoples work. When you get a feeling that a book was so good or made you cry or think, you want to write something just as impactful!

I am working on marketing for Girl Soldier. LOL. But soon, I will start writing the baseline for my new trilogy, The Unmasked Nation. The first book is called The Upper Guild. Then there's Schizm Division. The last book is Junta. It's a dystopian story based around three different factions that have split off from the old America and are now ruling their own areas on American soil. It's going to be a rollercoaster ride but maybe, just maybe, by book three America will be made whole again...or is that a good thing?

I write something totally unrelated to the story I was working on OR watch a movie I love OR read someone else's book that gets me inspired

The best thing about being a writer is:
- No rules
- Imaginary people and places that can become real
- Teaching a lesson through words
- No set hours to work
- THE FANS

I knew I wanted to write something with more action. My first book, Breaking Mobius, was a romantic suspense so it was very character-driven. I wanted to go a step further in the suspense genre with a story that had a strong lead female. So I took something I knew about, the military and government, and morphed them into a conspiracy surrounding my strong, female lead. I think it came out wonderful!

Put it on paper! Many times as writers, we have these great ideas that we either never start or never finish. That hardest part of being a writer is actually finishing the story. So get the story out on paper!
