Thank you for your question, Kerry. I'm thrilled to hear you enjoy my fiction. I have two collections of short stories, both published by James Ward Kirk. The earlier one is mentioned by Ellen Datlow in The Best Horror of the Year Volume Eight and is on the HWA recommended reading list for that year. Both are available on kindle unlimited. I hope these links work.

Wow, that's a great question. At this point, even I have to struggle for an answer to that. Where did this complex world of a traveling circus, peopled with so many warring personalities, that settles down next to a forest filled with vampires come from anyway? I do remember. I can recall clearly when the line "sometimes they fall" and the image of the trapeze artist's partner sprawled in the dirt below like a spent flower--and always I have the image of blood flowing like a flower blooming because I saw that as a small child and I never will forget the sight as a loved one hemorrhaged and died. It may take many iterations, in numerous stories to write that out of my head. So my ideas come from my ghosts and lines and images that pop into my head and won't leave; I begin to mumble them out loud, then I write them down. If the lines and images survive, they become stories.

I'm currently working on Parts Two and Three of Silence in The Void for Night Sky Publishing. Part Two is due in April, and Three much later, but I feel that I need to let Part Three unravel to completion before I let Two out of my hands just in case there are clues I should provide to the reader early on. I'm often accused of being vague; I'm trying to be very clear and upfront in this series. I want all the clues to be there for you so that you could solve all the little mysteries before the end if you wanted.
