Lisa N. Phillips I love meeting other people who are in the same niche. I enjoy learning about the writing projects they are involved in. I also enjoy writing for journaling family events, recording milestones and their spiritual principles to leave to children someday. I like writing so they will be exposed to God's perspective on important issues that all of us encounter in life, like illness, grandparents, serving others, waiting on God, making decisions, parenting, going through trials and adversities, etc. I want my writing to give my children and others something to reflect on to grow their faith and family.
Lisa N. Phillips I am currently writing a program about establishing unity and harmony within the military family. The military family is always in a constant state of flux and maintaining unity can be elusive when stress, jobs, children, moving, deployments, transitions, and other events keep the military family in a constant season of change.
Lisa N. Phillips I love to write with background music playing, so when I have writer's block I put on beautiful and inspirational instrumental music that stirs my emotions and it puts me at ease so I can begin thinking about my topic.
Lisa N. Phillips I was taking a course on the Psalms of Ascent a few years ago. The Psalms of Ascent are 15 specific psalms numbered from 120 to 134. Each one has a unique theme. Many of these themes I could relate to as a military wife/family and that inspired me to write "Faith Steps for Military Families."
