I am sitting here with my mouth wide open. I feel honored to have met you in your technology days. Never did I dream that I would some day be able to get to know you better through your books. Thanks for taking the time to check out The Beauty of the Fall. I hope you enjoy it. I'm working on a new novel called The Latecomers. About 150 pages in. The book is about aging in a world that doesn't value age or wisdom. I hope to finish it in a couple of years.

When did you realise you wanted to be a writer?
Rich Marcello When I was in college. I had a professor who offered to teach me how to write novels. I said no at the time for financial reasons, but then about four years ago started writing fiction full time. I've also been writing poetry and music since college.

What are you currently working on?
Rich Marcello My third novel in my trilogy about different kinds of love, The Beauty of the Fall. I hope to have it out in 2015.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Rich Marcello Write the first draft quickly, and then write each scene over and over until it feels right.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Rich Marcello I get to make stuff up.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Rich Marcello I tend to write for four or five hours each day. The routine helps me avoid writer's block. And I have at least ten novels in me and so little time....
