I would love to go to a dance at Pemberley in Pride and Prejudice. Only after Darcy married Elizabeth, of course! I don't normally like to go to formal affairs, but the movies make the balls in Austen's book look so wonderful, I'd make an exception!

I don't really have any mysteries in my life. I'm pretty much an open book. There are a few mysteries in my family that I'd like to explore, but those will have to wait until the parties involved have passed on.

This is a tough one, because sometimes it depends on my mood! But I think, overall, my favorite couple are Angel/Sarah and Michael Hosea from Francine Rivers' "Redeeming Love" romance. They are such a beautiful picture of love and forgiveness, the story never fails to make me cry! I'm also a big fan of Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy. I have to admit, this has a lot to do with seeing Colin Firth as Darcy in the movie before I read the book, but it made the story that much more enjoyable to read! I love the tension between the two characters and their joyful realization of love at the end of the book.

I'm finishing up edits and formatting for a new contemporary novel titled, "Winter Trees." It should be up by September. I've also started work on a new Biblical novel about Anna, the prophetess mentioned in Luke 2. As a citizen of Jerusalem during the 1 century B.C., she was an eyewitness to the incredible power struggle between the Hasmoneans (Jewish kings), Herod, and the Roman emperors. Can't wait to see where this story leads me!

There are 2 types of writers, those who think their writing is perfect on the first draft, and those who re-write a scene a hundred times. To both of them, I offer the same advice. Get into a critique group where your writing is scrutinized by other authors you trust to be honest. For the first type of writer, you'll learn that no first draft is perfect. For the second writer, you'll soon develop the courage to trust your instincts and let others read your work.

Besides getting to work in my jammies? I love giving life to characters and then seeing on what adventures they'll take me.

Usually by wandering around my house and muttering while sipping coffee. Sometimes I'll skip to a scene I know has to happen in the future of the story and then outline back from there, so I can see what has to happen. After that, it's a process of writing and re-writing a scene until my characters let me move on.
