Back when I taught struggling readers at the middle school level, I was challenged to find them easy to read, yet challenging topics in books. Most of my students chose NOT to read instead of reading 'silly' books. Since I couldn't find what I wanted to use - I wrote them instead!

I deal with writer's block by keeping my butt in my chair. Sometimes I have to force myself to get out 200 words in a day, other days the words flow and I can write 2000. For me, the key is consistency and schedule
