Gerald Maclennon My nickname was Logie. And I often addressed "Mr Levitt" as Big Ern. Ernest was his actual name. Some called him Ernie. Not me. / I graduated US Naval School of Photography, Class A, in 1965, was stationed at FICPACFAC NAS Cubi Point, Bataan, R.P. for a year and then VFP-63, NAS Miramar, CA... so yeah, in 1966 but I was PH3 by then. Next came a Det to Vietnam on CVA-34 and discharge in '68. / Ern was collecting images of Spanish Missions in Mexico and the American Southwest. That's why he wanted to visit the Philippines... more Spanish Missions. The war? That was incidental to Big Ern. / He owned a 1947 Army Surplus Jeep with homemade cab when I knew him as a civilian living in Oshkosh (by Gosh). That was 1971-72.
Gerald Maclennon Most of my book purchases, new or used, are from Amazon.com and their affiliated private sellers.

Gerald Maclennon I have to get the rest of my life in order. Only then can I see and feel the words forming in my head. Silence is most conducive to creativity.
