Great question. Authors tend to have an entire character bio in their heads, and sometimes we think an important detail was included but it's forgotten.
Katherine would get full access to her trust fund at age 35. I pictured her to be about 30. Her father has a strong work ethic and wants his children to earn their way instead of just handing over the money.
