The main reason for leaving Alaska after fifteen years, was missing family. All of our family lived "outside" Alaska. As the years went by we missed them more and more. As we grew older, so were they. We just wanted to be closer.

I have recently finished writing "Winds of Skilak: The Continuing Saga of One Couple's Adventures and Survival in the Alaskan Wilderness." The story continues where the first "Winds of Skilak" ends. Hoping to have it published by late fall/early winter 2017.

In all honesty, not very well! Sometimes I will just sit and stare at the blank screen for an endless amount of time. When that happens I have to force myself to walk away from the computer and focus on something else for a while. If I do that, then I usually return to the screen refreshed with new ideas!
