So glad you enjoy the series, Victoria! And thank you for asking. :) 'Beyond the Pale' is currently with the audiobook publishers. I've heard recording studios are experiencing delays due to Covid, but as soon as I hear of a release date I'll send out a newsletter. You can subscribe to my mailing list at www.sabrinaflynn.com.

It did! 'Jacopo' is a not-so-subtle-nod to that great character.

Hi Lauren! So glad you enjoy Ravenwood Mysteries. Conspiracy of Silence will not be the last book. I'm currently working on the 5th in the series. I'm hoping to release it before summer 2019. The working title is The Devil's Teeth, but that may change. You can follow me on various social media sites (Facebook, Amazon, Goodreads, Bookbub) or sign up to my newsletter at www.sabrinaflynn.com.

So glad you enjoyed From the Ashes, Laura. The second in the series, A Bitter Draught, is already out. So you are in luck! And I'm currently working on the third in the series. Hopefully it will be out by summer of 2017. I'm planning on making Ravenwood Mysteries a long running series, so no set number on books.

And if you haven't read it already, there is the prequel 'Untold Tales' that tells the story of Oenghus and Isiilde's mother. When you sign up for newsletter you can download it for free or get it from an online retailer.
Happy reading!

The Ravenwood mystery series started in Highgate Cemetery in London. I saw a gravestone with the name Zephaniah Raven, and thought it was a cool name. That spark sat in the back of my mind and then it sort of exploded on its own from there.
I was going to set the story in London, but decided that as a 4th generation Californian, I will never, ever grasp Britain's class system. Then it occurred to me that SF is a rather exotic kind of place for most people, so why not write about an area that I know and love.
I'm an organic writer, so I don't plot. I just have a vague idea of where I am going. Sort of like if you see a mountain off in the distance and you start walking there. You have no idea if there are valleys or rivers or forests... just a direction. My characters usually stomp into my mind fully formed, and I learn more about them as I write. I let the characters (of which I have little control) and the setting shape the story.

So glad you enjoyed it, Emily! I am currently working on my second book in the Legends of Fyrsta series. Alternating from mystery to fantasy helps me put some distance between books so I come to each world fresh. I average about a book every six months, so I am planning on having another Ravenwood Mystery out by next summer 2015 at latest. I got the idea for my latest book 'From the Ashes' from a tombstone in Highgate Cemetery in England. The name Zephaniah Raven leapt out at me and it sat in the back of my mind brewing for a year.

Thinking, questioning, traveling. Life fuels the imagination and I give mine free rein.

Write, write, read, write, read, and finish what you start, even when it's terrible. And value readers who will give you constructive criticism.

Writing is like breathing. Sometimes it's fun and sometimes it's painful, but until you die, you pretty much have to keep breathing.

I'm not sure there is such a thing as writer's block. It's more of mentally working through a tricky plot, or gathering all the pieces you need to start and finish a story. But when things get difficult I usually swim two miles, or put my head down and write through it.
