Probably not a full story, but I'd love to explore the story behind why someone jumped out of a 2nd floor window onto the bonnet of my car in the middle of the night. I'm told there was cocaine involved, and the person broke their leg, but still evaded police by jumping over fences! He was arrested after returning to the scene to retrieve his jacket!

I write something different! I'm not a 'linear writer'. I write sections as they come to me and piece them all together later. Because I don't get much time to write, being a full-time teacher, I tend to have multiple scenes all clamouring for my attention. I let my inner Darwin decide which gets written first!

Join a writers' group. Being able to talk with other people who know the frustration of a blank page or a recalcitrant sentence is really helpful. Plus, at some point you are going to want to show your baby off to the world. Better to have friendly, constructive criticism from other writers than to just throw your self at the mercy of the one-star Amazon trolls!

I'm currently writing book 3 in the DCI Warren Jones series. I've almost finished the first draft, so hopefully it'll pass.muster with my editors and find its way onto your bookshelf soon!
