My most recent book is a sequel to 'Brian, His Granddad & the Cup of Ages' and when I began writing that book I originally outlined two further books in the hope of one day writing a trilogy. Now that 'Brian, the Alchemist & the Silver Dragon' is complete I just have one more book to write and my trilogy will be finished.

I guess I just like telling stories. I like putting certain characters in different and exciting situations, creating new worlds and inventing new monsters too!

The best thing about being a writer is when somebody you don't know not only reads your book but then feels compelled to write a positive review about it too. There's nothing better than seeing an enthusiastic 5 star review!

I have just finished writing the sequel to 'Brian, His Granddad & the Cup of Ages' which is called 'Brian, the Alchemist & the Silver Dragon' and is being sent to my editor this week. It's a little longer than the first book at 98,500 words and should be out in August 2016.

I'm sure most people who write and enjoy writing say exactly the same thing. Never give up. I'm not particularly smart or very clever and I've somehow managed to write two books, both in excess of 90,000 words. Try and write something each day and always edit what you've written. I can't tell you how many times I've written something brilliant on a Monday and then gone back to it on a Tuesday and thought it was a load of rubbish.

I don't really suffer from writer's block. However, some days I can't seem to write a coherent sentence or paragraph. On days like that I switch off the laptop and won't come back to it again for a few hours or, occasionally, until the following day.
