Laura Sidsworth I'm inspired all of the time by many things...even a bad book, or movie! It takes more than inspiration to actually sit down every day and commit hours, and many words to paper, however. That takes will power, patience, and the ability to persevere over other distractions calling your name.
Laura Sidsworth Always read, read, read. You can learn by example. You will see what works, and what doesn't. You will find what interests you, and you will notice the best way to tell a tale. The most important thing though as the experts say, is to establish a routine of writing, and stick to it every day. For only as you write, will you learn how to write.

Maybe working on my blog, maybe with a different part of what I'm working on, just so long as you power through it...eventually I will be pulled in the right direction.

Laura Sidsworth My friend and artist Joni Anttila had 19 paintings that she had painted, but couldn't bear to part with. They depicted activities that she grew up doing around her family cabin. I decided I would create prose and poetry to capture the essence of these darling pictures.
