Christie Keele I don't have writer's block, and have never experienced it. Knock on wood!
Christie Keele The best thing for me about being a writer is having something you believe in to work on, something you care enough about to create, and something you know will be satisfying to you when you complete it.
Christie Keele The best advice I've ever read or received actually IS the best for me, in spite of all the advice new writers read: Just keep writing, keep going, don't stop.
Christie Keele I am currently working on a dystopian novel with the working title of Wynter. She is one of the main characters in the book. This one is very different from Minerva Day, and yet it's another book of my heart.
Christie Keele I was inspired to write by being open to my story, which came to me in a dream, and by having the idea most of my life of wanting to write a novel. This novel came from my heart, which also inspired me to write the story. Once that inspiration started, it didn't stop until I completed the novel.
Christie Keele I got the idea for Minerva Day from various people I've known throughout my life, or people I've caught glimpses of, their personality, the way they speak, the way they handle certain things in their lives. Minerva Day (her name and the premise of the story) actually showed up in a dream I had right before I began writing the story.
