Cassandra Dunn Too many things! I'm actually working on 2 new novels at once, which isn't the most effective way to write, but when I get bogged down in one I have another one waiting. I have less writing time when my daughters are off school for summer break, so I'm doing a lot of outlining and note taking and getting ready to jump back in full-time once school starts back up.
Cassandra Dunn The Art of Adapting began with the idea of Asperger Syndrome. I had an uncle with Asperger's who I loved dearly and lost several years ago. In his memory, I wanted to build a story around both a person with Asperger's and the family that loves him, to show the various challenges and gifts of living with Asperger's.
Cassandra Dunn If I'm feeling blocked, I read. Either I pick up a novel by a writer I admire to find some inspiration, or I go through something I've written and set aside. In no time I find that I have ideas flowing again.
