I'm working on a new thriller set in a little Italian town, a very involving plot.

My latest thriller is "The Fountain of the Frogs" at the moment only in the Italian Edition "La Fontana delle Rane". It is a thriller and spy story set in a beautiful, ancient district of Rome, the Coppedè Quarter, or the Magic Quarter, like Romans use to call it. I had the idea to set an involving plot in that place, because I love that district of Rome. The Fountain of the Frogs is the fountain in the middle of Mincio square and all around are buldings with mysterious names like the Cottage of the Fairies, the Palace of the Spider, the Palace of the Ambassadors. As a matter of fact the thriller has been very appreciated. It won the National Literary Award Perseide 2014!

I use to define inspiration as a "caress in the soul of the author". There isn't a rule about when or where it can happen.It may occur anywhere to experience the subtle and intimate recall that pushes an author to write. Often, when I look at the sunset on the Mediterranean Sea (I live on its coast), I feel inspired.
