D. Ed Hoggatt To get inspired, I go places, I see things, I notice details...and I mull things over for a long time before putting fingers to the keyboard.
D. Ed Hoggatt I am currently working on a few of projects. First is a nonfiction about the Biblical book of Acts. The next is a youth novel about children living in Southern Missouri in the 1800s, during the time of a vigilante group known as the Bald Knobbers. A third idea has yet to be developed: a series of little books about a bratty boy (a preacher's kid) who terrorizes everyone he meets.
D. Ed Hoggatt The simple answer is, I take a break. Sometimes that break can last for weeks, and sometimes taking a break means I stop writing one piece and work on another story for a while. It can be a race to find out which story gets completed first.
