It is almost always serendipitous—an unplanned moment of sudden enlightenment, a fleeting vision triggered by a sight, sound, smell, feeling, people, places, something I read, a memory... Sometimes it is just a moment of creative breakthrough.

The best thing about being a writer is being able to live many lives vicariously, through the characters in one's stories. When you are a writer, you are only limited by your own imagination!
