Dennis Ward Sometimes you have to step away from your writing. I enjoy gardening or working out in the gym. It clears my mind and often I receive pearls of inspiration to continue.
Dennis Ward I love the process of writing every day. The process is everything.
Dennis Ward Write, build a social media platform, and write some more. If you don't write every day, your writing goals will rarely be realized. Write, write, and write some more.
Dennis Ward I am in the phase of rewrites and editing on my second book, "Bonjour Gigi." I have an original stage play, "Big Daddy's Last Dance" being scheduled for production and I am helping some other authors on their projects. Also, I am on tour with my first book with filmmaker, Bonnie Friedman. She has an excellent documentary about a secret spy mission "Operation Sussex." We are doing two hour presentations at libraries, universities, museums, and churches, etc.
Dennis Ward I have so many interesting scenes to write, rewrites to accomplish, editing to perform that inspiration is not a problem. Discipline to write every day, at least six hours a day or more is my goal.
Dennis Ward I personally knew Gigi the last seven years of her life before she died. I wrote a stage play, Chez Gisèle, that has been produced a number of times since 2010. During these productions, I learned about Gigi's life as a young Jewish girl in France during the war. Now I am writing the sequel to "Mademoiselle Gigi."
