7) What was Fearghus Donnelly's involvement in the Bevan-Moore war? Was he a part of it because of his friendship with Arthur?
8) Could Fearghus read the Bevan texts because he was "Bevan enough" (like Christian), or for a different reason?
9) It's extremely rare to see heroines like Sloane Bevan (deaf, social anxiety). Did you always plan to create her this way? (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[7. The Donnellys allied with the Bevans/Farrellys long ago, when the initial discord broke out with the Moores. Fearghus Donnelly was involved because his family was always involved. His family was close with the Bevans when he was a child, and when he grew up, he and Arthur worked as a team to fight the Moores.
8. Fearghus Donnelly could read the texts because his family had allied with the Bevans. The Bevan magic that masked those texts didn't affect him.
9. Yes, Sloane II has always been deaf. :) I didn't know about her social anxiety until I was writing THE CATALYST though. That part was news to me. (hide spoiler)]

1. The Alignment Series started on a random day in 2009 when Liv started talking in my head and didn't stop. I scribbled her words down on sticky notes because it was distracting, I didn't know what it was, and I hoped getting it on paper would make it stop. That evening I typed those notes into a Word document because it seemed important. Trey's voice started not long after that. I didn't know I was writing a book until I had a few chapters written, and then I just kept going because I couldn't *not* keep going. I've never felt like I came up with The Alignment. I've always felt like it created itself.
2. My inspiration as a writer comes from a very unlikely conglomeration of authors and books: Daphne du Maurier, Madeline L'Engle, Wuthering Heights, and LJ Smith's books I read in the 90s as a young adult. Also tossed in are the original TMNT graphic novels by Eastman and Laird (they're a lot darker and more serious than you'd think). I'm also very inspired by my favorite story of all time: Beauty and the Beast--any version and all versions. Captive heroine, reclusive angry hero. Enemies, darkness. A larger fight to be fought. Reluctant allegiance, love. That's probably the only piece that makes sense. :)
3. No plans for novellas right now. I've entertained the idea of a book for Inis, or Paul, or Órlaith, or Marcas, or Aaron... or another Sloane and Rex book... but I doubt it would be limited to a novella. My plots just couldn't work with that. ;) So I won't say never, but I will say definitely not right now.
4. I've been compelled to write since the day in 2009 when I heard Liv's voice in my head. I've been a reader my whole life, and have enjoyed writing, but I never planned to become a writer.
5. Music is a huge inspiration for everything I write. Specifically for THE WARRIOR, a fan I've become friends with online recommended some music and it really helped shape Sloane and Rex's story. I also started listening to a different, new-to-me type of electronica while editing THE WARRIOR.
6. Why Irish? Because it's the most beautiful language in the whole world. :)

Hi Tiffany, I'm working very, very hard to get The Warrior published this year. Its release is on my mind every day. Haunting me! :)
I have a couple more months of writing then a few of editing, so it's going to be close. I do post progress about once a month at kaycamden.com, so if you subscribe there you'll get updates. If you follow or friend me here on Goodreads you'll get them too.
So sorry to keep you waiting. I hope book 5 is worth your wait! :)

There will be five books total in The Alignment Series. Books 1-4 are available now, and I'm currently working on book 5 (the finale!) which should be out very late this year. I post status updates to my website which show up in my Goodreads blog, so stay tuned to that for more info. Thanks for asking! (Edited 6/5/17 to update progress)
