I think I can help you with a few recommendations, but it is an enormous topic--and things changed with every year of the war, in every theater of the war, and every country did things a little differently.

I have extensive notes relating to WW1 nurses I can email you, all categorized by topic with references where the info came from. I have typed notes from all the books I've read as well. I assume you could plug them into Google Translate to read in your native language.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Ginger Monette The inspiration for my upcoming novel, Darcy's Hope, came from Downton Abbey and Jane Austen's Emma.

Book one, Beauty from Ashes, is set on the Western Front in Belgium. Book two, Darcy's Hope at Donwell Abbey, finds our hero Captain Darcy convalescing at his cousins' estate after injuries on the Front leave him blind and deaf.

How do you get inspired to write?
Ginger Monette My inspiration comes mostly from indulging in LOTS of daydreaming. Novels and Youtube movies are also great sources for personalities, settings, and situations.

Ginger Monette Darcy's Hope: Beauty From Ashes a World War I inspired novel set on the Western Front. Captain Fitzwilliam Darcy is sent to command a field hospital only to find a certain young lady there...
