One of my Twitter buddies shared a photo of a note he'd found in a library book. It inspired me to write a short story on my blog. My husband was really taken with the idea of a woman vigilante looking out for other ladies and pressed me to take the story further. Here's the link to that very first story.

I write through it. If I'm stuck in a story, I will actually write out questions about the character or the plot and make myself answer them. That almost always gets the words flowing again. If that doesn't seem like the answer for that day, I will just do a stream of conscience, where I write down everything that floats through my brain for a set amount of time. The story is generally running again when the timer goes off.
