Hi Theresa, so sorry for the late response. Thanks so much for letting me know you enjoyed The Promise. I have never been to the Isle of Wight but would like to visit, hopefully when travel restrictions ease up. I had a pictorial book I used as well as google earth for research. I chose the island because I'm adopted and my birth family has ties to it. In particular, they are distantly related to Molly Downer, the last witch on the island. I had to write a story when I found that out! Thanks again for reading the book, take care xx Michelle

The best way for me to glean new ideas when a story hits a roadblock is to get outside in the fresh air and clear my head. It never fails to get the story moving along again.

There's lots of things! But, I love the way my characters get inside my head and take on a life of their own when I'm writing. They really do have conversations back and forth.

It can be a long and hard road and you need to be resilient and believe in yourself. Don't give up! Also join a local writing group. It is a solitary business and it's great to have likeminded people around you who understand.

I'm working hard on my new series, The Guesthouse on the Green at the moment. Book 4, Rosi's regrets. I'm excited about writing Rosi's story, it's going to be fun. I also have another idea which is beginning to clamour for attention, a possible sequel to The Promise.

What goes on Tour releases 5 May 2019. This story is a mother or rather mammy, daughter trip from Ireland to Vietnam. It's book 3 in a story and originally started life as a novella which grew. I visited Vietnam many years ago and the country itself was an inspiration for the story. Lots of funny things happen along the way when you travel and it was those things that inspired this story.
