If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?
J.D. Lovil I would go to the fictional planet called Earth, and I would be a writer. Oh, wait. I am.

What books are on your summer reading list this year?
J.D. Lovil I plan on reading anything new by Larry Niven or Stephan Baxter that is published.

What are you currently working on?
J.D. Lovil I am working on a book that incorporates the usual many worlds influence, and the powers behind the throne motif, resembling a ultimate Bilderberger or Illuminati group.

Is writing a stand-alone novel more challenging to you than a series of novels using the same protagonist?
J.D. Lovil No. I do tend to bring characters from other novels into current works, but so far, the protagonist has been different in each. Each one is a different comment on the world.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
J.D. Lovil I don't get writer's block, because I have no doubts that I can write the book. I just hope that the reader can read and enjoy it.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
J.D. Lovil The times when a reader shows you that they understand what you are trying to say.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
J.D. Lovil Write because you have something to say. If you are looking for riches, you are apt to be disappointed. It is all about the reader.

How do you get inspired to write?
J.D. Lovil All my life I have encountered people who seem to be stuck on the answer to what I see as questions with obvious answers. All books are in some sense an attempt by the Author to communicate answers to the questions that their readers ask. I decided to try to answer.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
J.D. Lovil I am currently working on a weight reduction eBook related to my methods in Whacking Happiness.
