D.L. Harrison Most of my series are completely independent and stand alone. For those, just pick one and get started on book one.

The only exception to that is my elemental world series. They can be read in any order, but unavoidably the latter series in the same world has spoilers for the previous ones, so I'd recommend reading them in the order they are published.

The Power of Air, Spirit Sorceress, Water Sorceress, and then my current Earth Sorcerer series will finish up that world.

The only others are The Formerly Dark Mage, and The Rise of a Dark Mage are both stand alone novels in the same world, and should be read in the order given in this sentence. I hadn't planned a series for it which is why it wasn't marked that way.

Otherwise the rest of the series aren't really connected at all. Different worlds, protagonists, etc. Just follow the normal book order by series.
D.L. Harrison I know it's something I should look into, but I haven't any solid plans to do so. Glad you're enjoying the books.
D.L. Harrison Yes. Kindle unlimited books require exclusivity on Amazon's website. I'd be publishing to other platforms if I could, but a lot of my readers use KU.
D.L. Harrison I have no plans currently, but I wouldn't rule it out either.

There were no major plots left open, and I thought it pretty clear where he was standing at the end of the book with the various factions of power and people in his life. It was very much a life goes on ending, save the main plots which were tied up in a fairly definitive happily ever after kind of way.
D.L. Harrison I do not. I'm on here and Amazon, I had a forum on there but they shut that part of things down a couple of years ago. I tend to be very focused on the writing, and not all that great at the marketing. I do try to keep my readers updated with the monthly blog post and announcements, but no forums.
D.L. Harrison The second one is already available for pre-order, and will be out next Tuesday. The third one will be out the third Tuesday in April, whatever date that falls on, and will be the last book in the series.

Thanks!
D.L. Harrison Not at this time, but I won't rule it out. I never expected to revisit my Power of Air world either, and I have a couple of series upcoming in that one, eventually.
D.L. Harrison The Katrina Baker series is done. I don't have any plans to revisit it, but I won't say it's impossible.

Thanks for your interest.
D.L. Harrison Why not a simple question, like the meaning of life, or is there a god?

LOL

I mostly stick to sci-fi and fantasy, so I'm not sure anything really qualifies, Except... I'll tell you a story I've never really shared with anyone including family.

When I was about ten, I rode my bike up the bowling alley with my best friend at the time. We were just two kids messing around, and there were those long high yellow poles, about three feet high, in front of the sidewalk to the bowling alley door, the ones that stop runaway cars from going up on a curb and into the building.

This was way back, so there were no nicely rounded caps on top for safety, these ones had a top of rough and bumpy but relatively flat cement.

So my best friend climbs up on one, and starts to step from pole to pole, which honestly looked scary, but I was ten and a dare was a dare. How could I refuse, he'd have called me a chicken. He was a little crazy, and I was a little stupid at ten.

But the truth was, I was scared out of my little ten year old mind.

So I get up on that first pole, hand against the building for balance, and then step off to the next one, but I was too tentative, and my fear caused my foot to miss it. My family jewels, of which I did not yet know the importance of, started to dive down at that yellow hollow metal pole filled with cement.

Many things ran through my mind at that moment, all of it involving pain, broken bones, and I flinched and froze, not even trying to catch myself with my hands. The angle was all wrong anyway.

But then, I heard a rushing sound in my ears that drowned out all other sound. The cars on the street, the birds, my friend, every sound was washed out. And my eyesight went dim, I couldn't see anything but a bright blur, and I felt someone or something grab me and lift me over the pole, and then place me gently on my feet on the other side. The rushing sound died down and I was strangely empty of fear, and when my eyesight returned I saw my friend staring at me in shock, like he couldn't believe what he'd just seen. All the blood had drained from his face, and I was a little curious to ask what he'd seen, but something on his face made me hold my tongue.

We never spoke of it, not even then.

What was it? I'll leave that up to you folks to decide. Latent psychic telekinesis? Guardian angel? A passing ghost who felt like being nice? Some other being? Or perhaps, just the strange and wild imagination of a ten year old...

You can decide it was that last one, but I promise you, it wasn't...

It also seems like a good lead in to a book doesn't it? The first example of a kid's powers coming in and being out of control, or... Something.
D.L. Harrison Spirit Sorceress is a spin off and done in the same world. So the short answer is yes, already done so.

Not sure if there will be any others at this point. I suppose I could still do an Earth or Water sorcerer, or perhaps even one of the other races, not sure. A werewolf mystic or witch could be fun. I have a lot of other ideas on the drawing board right now for different worlds that are a lot more developed. I suppose I could even do another arc with Ben at the helm, but like I said, nothing really planned, but I wouldn't rule it out.
D.L. Harrison To a small extent, in that it's the same world, and there are two minor characters in both series. Reading Ben's books might give the reader a better understanding of the world, but it's hardly necessary as the world building in the new Spirit Sorceress books are complete in and of themselves, or will be eventually as the series grows.

I don't intend for the two series to interact except as much as they have already, which is to say very little.
D.L. Harrison Yes, I'm not finished with any of the three series I currently have out. I'm shooting for July/August for the next Alicia Jones novel.
D.L. Harrison I'm not certain. I took some time off writing to recharge. Generally I release books quickly and then take a few months off. I'm a compulsive writer, often working twelve hours a day on it, which burns me out after a while.

August or September is my best guess, I am currently working on a new Celia book, and will follow that with a new Alicia book before the next Power of AIr.

That said, I reserve the right to switch that around a bit if I need to.

To answer the other part of your question, I believe it will be seven books in total, but it may turn out to be less.
D.L. Harrison My goal is to have a book out every month, two at the most. Currently I am working on the third Celia book. Alicia will follow with her third, and then I'll work on the fourth Ben book.

I hesitate to make exact date commitments, but I hope that answers your question.
