Michele L. Rivera Hi. I apologize for the delayed response. I do have a book of poems out called "Marks." Unfortunately, it was poorly formatted before going to print. Sigh. I appreciate the compliment. Thank you :)

How do you get inspired to write?
Michele L. Rivera I'm so sorry I'm just seeing this question now (sigh). I people watch a lot (not in a creepy way) and I listen to other people's stories then (usually when I least expect it) the idea of a character/person will come to mind and plot ideas will follow. That said, I don't really do anything to get inspired. Ideas come to me and I let it happen.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Michele L. Rivera I'm so sorry that I'm just seeing this question now. My advice would be to never give up. If you have a story in your heart then you should try your best to tell it.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Michele L. Rivera I'm so sorry that I'm just seeing this question now. The best thing about being a writer (for me) is experiencing things through my characters that I might not ever experience and/or sharing experiences with my readers through my characters. It's also really great to help normalize same-sex love and to give people happy endings because I think the world needs more love and more hope.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Michele L. Rivera I'm so sorry that I'm just seeing this question now. When I have writer's block, I often step away from the story. Also, I create playlists for every book I write so sometimes I will just take a walk or go to my own space with headphones and listen to the soundtrack and try to imagine what I want for the book and its characters. It's important to remind yourself to be patient with yourself and to trust that you won't be blocked forever.

Hi, I really want to read your book, "Wait for it". It sounds interesting and I will read it as soon as I have a bit of time. The blurb reminded me a lot of something and, out of curiosity, are you a fan of singer songwriter LP, by any chance?
Michele L. Rivera Hi. I'm so sorry I'm just seeing this question now. I appreciate that you are interested in Wait For It. I have never heard of LP, but now I shall use Google because I'm curious :)
