Duane Wurst I have so many stories to tell that I wish I could block a few of them out. If you get blocked, write a 100 word story. Then another. Then another. Then another. Take the best one, and keep going with it. When I write, I go to bed with the story playing in my mind. I don't know if I dream about it, but in the morning most of my plot is solved and I'm ready to write.
Duane Wurst I can create another world that touches the reader. I don't want to preach, but I want to instill a good feeling of hope.
Duane Wurst Write as much as you can, and share it with other writers. Join a group if possible. Also read, read, read. I listen to audio books almost every day.
Duane Wurst The second novel in my Death on The Point series. It is a little darker as it deals with abuse among high school teenagers.
Duane Wurst When I'm working on a novel, I set goals for words per day. I try hard to reach the goal, even when I'm tired.
Duane Wurst I was an aid in a High School English class and the question was how do you get an idea for a book. I told the class that I think of a what if question. "What if a girl almost killed due to brain damage, but she was saved using "nano-particals". Never used before. What if after she recovers she has memories of past lives. Each what if question, leads my thought pattern into the story.
